So I had all these blog entries planned while I was in China (so I could write like a travel blog sort of thing), but unfortunately I had been soooo busy the entire time (not to mention a TOTAL lack of resources to update my blog--a lot of places I stayed at didn't support internet for English Macbooks! Isn't that weird?), so I *just* got the opportunity to update now! :(
Sorry to keep you guys all waiting!
I am FINALLY back in Los Angeles, but before I show you photos of L.A., let's do a quick recap of what happened in China!
I went to visit some friends in the Fujian province, which is really close to Taiwan, and ended up going to a bunch of museums. (--not that I'm complaining, 'cuz I love museums and was actually the one who requested to go to museums)
Quanzhou, a city in Fujian, is dubbed "Maritime Silk Road." And so my friends took me to a boat museum! It was awesome to see all the different kinds of boats that were used throughout history.

We also went to South Shaolin. Ever see Shaolin Soccer (for those of you who don't know, it's a movie directed by Hong Kong's Stephen Chow. He also directed Kung Fu Hustle.)? Yup. It's the same Shaolin Temple. Except... the "southern" division. :P

Alright, so I am in L.A. right now. The weather is GREAT (even though my skin is REALLY not liking the lack of humidity here), it's MUCH cooler here than last summer (for some odd reason. Or maybe it's because I'm skinnier this summer and I have less fat so it feels cooler. Who knows?), and I never thought L.A. was so beautiful until now!

Maybe we all need to be away from something long enough to realize how much it really means to us. And okay, I'll admit. I was ACTUALLY a bit homesick, surprising as that sounds (to me :P).
I'll be leaving for Ithaca in a few days. I'll really miss my mom and brother, as well as all my friends from church. =/ And my other friends in L.A. (I didn't even get to see some of them 'cause I'm only here for two weeks before I have to take off again! :( ) But I am *really* looking forward to the new school year. ^_^
